The Educational Theatre Association Outstanding School Award

Nominate a school for Educational Theatre Association’s Outstanding School Award.

The Outstanding School Award recognizes as many as twelve high schools annually (up to three per region), whose theatre programs exemplify and promote high standards of quality.

All schools that have been members in good standing with the International Thespian Society for at least two years are eligible to apply for this award. Once a school has been selected, it cannot be considered again for five years.

Each recipient of the Outstanding School Award will receive:

  • complimentary troupe dues for the next school year,
  • $100 off the school’s Thespian Festival registration,
  • an award to be presented on the main stage at Festival,
  • and a press release announcing the award, which will be sent to the school’s local paper.

Schools wishing to be considered for this award should complete and submit this application by February 1.
