The Ronald L. Longstreth International Thespian Festival Grant
The Ronald L. Longstreth International Thespian Festival Grant is a one-time grant for students who are not United States citizens, who reside in a foreign country or are an exchange student studying in the United States, and are inducted members of the International Thespian Society (ITS).
Each applicant MUST complete the following in Academic Works:
• The AcademicWorks General and Student Conditional Application (Including the necessary H.S. transcript and Troupe Director letters)
• This application and it’s supplemental questions.
The Ronald L. Longstreth International Thespian Festival Grant will:
1. Cover reimbursement for roundtrip travel expenses to and from his/her hometown and the International Thespian Festival (ITF) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). The maximum reimbursement will be a dollar amount set at the beginning of each school year. Eligible expenses may include roundtrip airfare to/from a major airport, shuttle fees to/from the airport in Lincoln, mileage if traveling by car, or bus fare if the student will be traveling by bus with his/her troupe or chapter delegation. No additional “flight legs” may be added to the trip and no change or cancellation fees will be covered.
2. Cover basic ITF registration fees for the student. Fees include a double room in a residence hall on the UNL campus, Monday night through the Saturday night, and meals in a campus cafeteria, Monday dinner through Sunday breakfast. All students will have a roommate.
Note: all other expenses incurred during the trip must be paid for by the recipient.
If a recipient’s troupe director will not attend ITF, it will be the recipient’s responsibility to contact his/her state chapter director and locate another adult who will be willing to chaperone the student.
The deadline for submission is February 1
